Des Hartley & Sons Transport Limited is a family-run, family-owned transport and distribution company.
Originally founded more than 80 years ago by Gerald Hartley, the business started out as a straight-forward road transport company and has since grown into all aspects of transport and warehousing with on-site workshop facilities.
As time has passed, the business has continued to grow and adapt to an ever-changing industry.
As a business which has been passed through generations, we have gained a wealth of knowledge of both the transport and warehousing industry which has enabled us to provide a dedicated and reliable customer service.
The business has continued to be run for three generations by Gerald, then by his two sons, Michael and Des, and today by his grandsons, Matthew and Philip Hartley. Gerald’s initials are still sign written on all fleet vehicles in memory of him.
